Alls i have to say is wow, this game has made me jump in my seat quite a few times for the first hour i played it. Great game oh man.

Where is that flashlight mod?

just bind all your weapons to keys. you dont need any key binds except for moving, crouching, and jumping. the rest i use for weapons. oh and the pda.

I was messing around today and also noticed if you kill the guards and things at posts in the beginning it will give you their PDA.. I wonder if there is any signifigant info in them??

Not sure what ya mean. If you mean the little computer screen icon thats usually on the bottom left i think that only hangs around when you have video files or emails that are unread.

And after, now the rifle fire lights up areas it impacts on with a blueish glow. Was actually already in the def file but was commented out.

Edit: added third screen showing the enhanced muzzle flash that lights up the area around you. Should look pretty nice in multiplayer games biggrin:

Its just a few things that were // out of the weapondef file for some of the weapons, im just enabling them and exagerrating the effect to make it look better.

You mean the ammo counter? Well i play with my mod installed, with that the chaingun rate of fire is about double so when firing the gun gets pushed back a bit and that part goes offscreen, give the impression that theres a ton of kickback coming from the gun. happy:

Yep, Blood goes flying everywhere, far as i know gamespot have an "ubergore" mod up that makes the blood really over the top.

Theres no blood option at all in the game, are you using the bodystay mod or you just using the standard version where they burn away. The bloods a lot more obvious with that mod installed. Its in cluded from my mod i posted yesterday

3. Now delete the files above (pak000-004) or move them to another folder for storage so you can revert to multiplayer.
When you want to revert to multiplayer, restore everything you had before and get rid of the new stuff. I'm not sure if the folder maps is the same or not, so make sure you back that up.
When in the original Doom3 /base folder (that is, before the unpacking), you would have thse folders and files "maps" "savegames" "config.spec" "doomConfig.cfg" "doomkey" game00.pk4" and "gamex86.dll", nothing else.

ALSO DO THIS! If you open DoomConfig.cfg (C:\programfiles\doom3\base) in notepad and change (make sure to save a backup copy) seta image_cacheMegs "32" to a higher number, such as 128 or 265 (depends on RAM, use 256 for a gig, 128 for 512mb) you will see a big increase too. You also have to change the seta image_useCache to "1" and seta image_cacheMinK to approx "20480" (or higher)
There you have it, since the CPU wont have to unpack the textures, sounds, etc...there is a MASSIVE performance increase at the expense of no MP and requiring more HD space.

That right there is horseshit^ . As arkan said this was already debunked by an id guy. Quake 3 mohaa etc all used the same pak system as doom 3, if it worked they would ass see increases in performance but there is none.

A large map wouldn't work well on the doom engine unless you turn off many of the lighting and shader effects, you'd be chuggin at 5 fps the whole time on an average machine.

Thats a statement based on assumption and nothing else. ONe of the big fps killers in doom is the fact theres multiple light sources casting multiple shadows etc. Outdoors would have only one lighting source. When you look at it an "outdoor map" is really just a large indoormap with a skybox, the doom 3 engine would do these as good as indoor maps. Carmacks not gonna build an enigne that can do indoor and not outdoor and still have it defined as reveloutionary.
