don't pick up the ammo. Every single cache of ammo or health you find will always trigger monsters to come out thus wasting the ammo and or health you just picked up. So why bother?

Moving on, let's look at how those scary monsters enter the room. You'll walk into a room. If there isn't a monster already standing two inches from the door what will happen is there will be a noise or some other distraction for a cheap scare followed by a gaggle of monsters emerging from anywhere but the door. Let's observe:

Okay, here we have our standard room. Note the pipes? Get used to them. They're everywhere. Now, since there's no imediate danger the next step is to walk into the room...

is it really true that picking up ammo causes more to come?

Occasionally it works as a trigger, not as bad as theyre making out though.

Yeah it's not that bad, but it makes you hesitate everytime you go for a secret area...or any ammo under a staircase or something.

Which in my opinion is great. Makes it seem more realistic..the fear factor at least.

i always face the wall when i pick up ammo/health...alot of times a pentagram will form on the floor nearby or out of view and they pounce on you....but you cant not hear that summoning circle rock:

tried that got pwned by an imp that came from a sliding panel behind me

delta complex is by far the sacriest part of the game. so far

theres a flamethrower mod that i think replaced the plasma gun or you just have to spawn it yourself. if anyone can host i got a video of it in use on a zombie..
