eek:

It wont matter if you told the game you have a geforce 6800, a geforce 4 mx is basically a geforce 2 with a different memory controller, it wont work because the game uses effects that card is incapable of doing.

(teammate) Im done for, ive been blown to bits by a grenade causing this rack of gravity defying barrels to fall on me.

(teammate) No wait scratch that, thanks to the super morphine injection my broken bones have healed and im now magically able to pass through this barrel rack.

Rigomortis set in very quickly back in ww2.

LoL

Looks like the ragdoll needs alot of work.

geRV 09-08-2004 07:31 AM

To be perfectly honest the physics and ragdoll in this game just seem out of place, the enemies either don't react in the way theyre meant to or they completly overreact. Try buttsmacking someone and you see them go skidding about 15 feet away. Shoot someone in the head and occasionally they fall down in a slump, other times they do some kinda mad flip after a couple of seconds like some kinda delayed reaction death.

When theyre dead on the ground they don't even interact with the objects properly, ive seen them dead with around 50% of their bodies clipping through a solid object. Even counterstrike source which is still in beta stages has a far more advanced physics and ragdoll system, and thats just an enhanced mod.

Sgt. Paine 09-08-2004 10:01 AM

why do they go flying 30 feet when you bash them?

To quote the tool from the ea video

"thats the realism of havoc physics".

They better shape up before the release.

I wasnt impressed with the demo.

Althought the graphics made me randy.
