If you shot the gun with it placed on your shoulder like that, wouldn't you break it? All that power smacking on your shoulder would leave a nice size bruise. Aren't you supose to tuck it right above your armpit?

As far as i know m4 and m16 have very little kickback, m4 is basically just an m16 with a retractable stock anyway.

The M16's kick back is so little is ridiculous, i can shoot it one handed. Your suppose to keep it high in the pocket of your shoulder, like almost out of your shoulder. So Ninty 9 is right by that picture

EDIT: Oh i forgot to add to my last comment about the M16. Try putting the buttstock rught above your armpit where hawke thinks it goes...you wont be able to look out of the iron sights with all your gear on/ off.
