Are medics allowed to attack under the geneva convention?

The US never signed the Geneva Convention (kinda ironic) so technically a GI can attack/kill/maim or what ever the hell he/she/it wants.

Y make it like teamfortress2? just think of something origonal, something no other game has done http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif maybe something as a pointsystem: u devide points to things as aim, healing powers, armor, speed, etc. if u set everything on aim, u make a very good sniper, but u are slow and almost unpretected. that would be origonal and cool.

OK, so no geneva convention, but what about their hypocratic oath? the one they take not to hurt, only heal.
