I saw that one of the soldier models had non-stadard issue socks on. The game is just ruined! Ruined I tell you!

Well obviously it'll be placed over your shoulder or something. I can't see you being able to move too fast with it either.

Thanks for the info Gerard
Here is a picture of a mg42 tripod. This was the one I was going to purchase when I was going to order a semi-Auto MG-42
You should be able to crouch behind it.

Thats more or less it but the one in the game was much taller. It could be used as an anti aircraft machine gun on the taller mount.

Can't see much point in a semi auto mg-42 myself, that gun NEEDS to be fired full auto biggrin:

thank you for so arrogantly correcting me Gerard.

anyway here's a photo of the "bidpod" that was used to make the mg a light AA gun

and while you're in "know it all" mode, maybe you already know that it would be illegal to own a full auto machine gun, and it would only be legal if it was a semi auto.

rudedog 11-07-2002 03:19 PM

The legs on that are exspandable, so you can make it taller.

You can own a full auto class 3 here in the USA ( requires a permit ). Unfortunialy my state only permits a semi auto.

For those interested, here is the link for the site selling the semi auto. I have tried to contact them but have not recieved anything back yet.

Check out the video of it being fired

anyone inteterested in a used H&K SP89? I need to find the funding for my new toy biggrin:

i couldn't imagine mgs being as accurate as sniper rifles or being able to reload rockets in 4 seconds before i played mohaa

i think i've heard about converting semi-auto AR-15s into full auto before, perhaps the same could be done with a *cough* MG-42 *cough* then you just add a foxhole to your front yard, load a belt of blanks and wait for the paperboy to put one under the car biggrin:

eeww, i wouldn't bother getting it at all. That gun firing semi auto just doesn't look right. Can you not apply for the full auto licence? There was a video on the net of an mg firing full auto and its a sight to behold, empty casing are littered under the receiver and its just a constand buzz sound.

11-07-2002 05:15 PM

from what i've heard (although it may be different in more conservative states) you get a license which is expensive, then the guns of course are extremely expensive and take like a year for you to actually get them

rudedog 11-07-2002 05:52 PM

You could not convert the MG42 to full auto. Part of them being able to manufacture this firearm is so it can not be converted. Just like the semi auto BAR

I can not get a permit. because my state does not allow it. I'm in a semi auto state only and my wife wont move, LOL

You pay a class3 tax ( one time ) and what ever it costs to transfer the paper work over.

this semi auto is about $4000.00 a full auto is over $18,000.00 if you could find one.

I'm just getting ready for when my daughters start dating. biggrin:

I'd like to see you if a burglar broke in and the first gun you grabbed was a full auto MG-42.
