I think we should be able to choose the rate things like a american eagle, iron cross, nade, rosey the riveter =), a bullet, and stuff like that
|
How about....
Private-0 posts Private First Class-2 posts Specialist Forth Class-4 posts Corporal-8 posts Sergeant-16 posts Staff Sergeant-32 posts Sergeant First Class-64 posts ..and make the requirements double every time? Once you get over 64 posts it will become more difficult to gain rank. |
like ign ?
sry , i forgot the question mark [This message has been edited by Polaris (edited June 18, 2001).] |

But that sounds hard!!!!!! No, I'm kidding...I don't care on the number really..I just want some cool looking military ranks...German, American, Russian, Canadian...as long as it looks...umm...neat.

LOL dude, if you have 0 post you won't even show up on a thread so what's the use of a rank? http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

0 to 2 posts will be private. |
0 to 2 is too short of a length for a private . i think they should be privates till around 40 posts or something
|
how bout 20, then 40 is corporal, 60 sergeant, 80 lieutenant, 120 captain, 160 major, 200 general etc etc
|
"200 general"
you already want to be a general , huh ? lol i'd say make a general around 1500 posts or something [This message has been edited by Polaris (edited June 18, 2001).] [This message has been edited by Polaris (edited June 18, 2001).] |
I think its a great idea...the grenades are a very nice touch.

It will go, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048 and so and so and so..... Hardly anyone, if anyone at all, will be in the high ranks. If you do the ranks up to 200, it will get useless for the oldbies! [This message has been edited by Recycled Spooge (edited June 18, 2001).] |
i'd say , keep it simple
Private -zero to 100 posts Corporal -200 posts Sergeant -300 Staff Sergeant -400 Master Sergeant -500 Sergeant Major -600 Second Lieutenant -700 First Lieutenant -800 Captain -900 Major -1000 Lieutenant Colonel -1100 Colonel -1200 Brigadier General -1300 Major General -1400 Lieutenant General -1500 General -1600 after that you're an full-blown OSS agent ! If we used your idea everyone would be either Private or a corporal, and maybe one or two would be Sergeants. |
100 for private, what would the people with only 6 be? and also maybe we should look at the day of defeat ranks I have 169 posts right now and thats captain
