This was very helpful to me. Can you maybe do one on layers so i can make a sig picl like Wolf or YoMattYo. biggrin:

The font I used in the example is called Ethnocentric. I found an awesome place for fonts. Try http://www.1001fonts.com
P'raps I'll make a poll and see what the next tutorial should be. Layers might be a little hard to show by example, but I could try. Zone |
Yeah, thanks a lot Zoner! =( I dont even know what the hell layers do, and how to use them. lol, i'm a n00b at PSP7. oOo:

In a nutshell, when you add anything to an image, you should make a new layer first. This keeps every element of the image separate.
For example, I have a kickass Saving Private Ryan image of Ramelle and I want to place Tom Hanks in the foreground. Instead of just pasting Tom into the Ramelle image (essentially merging both images together) I paste Tom as a new layer. This keeps both image layers separate. So, if I wanted to remove Tom from the pic, I could just delete that particular layer. Layers are useful for blending using transparency and a whole slew of other things. Here's a pretty simplistic tutorial on layers that may help out: http://www.digitalhints.com/pstuts/pslayers.htm As with any software, you have to tinker with it and play around to get good at it. Do some reading and apply what you've learned. Good luck. Zone |

To get the different lightness and darkness in the text, I used Filters > Render > Lighting Effects.
I picked the 5 Lights Up preset and just fiddled around with the position of the 5 lights until I got somethin' I liked. Zone |
i ll give it a try
thx zoner |
