to ST_Bazooka_Joe giving me couple of good hints, like the reinstallation guide with a good links.

Got the problem sorted out. Once I uninstalled the mohaa runner (launcher) and reinstalled it again the problem was gone. Seems to me there was something bad in the launcher.
