when they attacked russia, they had to split their armies. if hitler waited and centered all of his troops west, he probably would have stopped the invasion

The key to winning war is have your biggest enemies fighting each other. Thus having the russians fight the americans would have been in the best interests of hitler. Once Russia and the states wipe each other out, hiter can simply walk through and take over. Very simple really.

Anyway, on the eastern front there were 3 army groups. North Centre and South. Of course you can't have one army covering the whole area. Thats just not logistically possible. Each army had different objectives.

As for more troops on the West front, if hitler had taken from the eastern front, he wouldn't have lasted long. They should ahve activated the Panzer division near normandy, and the germans would ahev had a better chance.

Hitler was a doodle brain and his crap tactics lost the war. Germans had good Generals, all of them were sober though but Adolf didn't listen.

sepireor tech dont you gis watch history chanel the germans had most advanced tech in the field they just didnt have the time to refine the tech to good working order because of the war, M1A1 abrams uses a revised simpler version of the panthers supention that is 50 plus years ago & they had the best just needed time to work the kinks out witch because hitler started the war 3 years ahead of his own time schedule they lost the war, its a merical they did as well as they did in the first 4 years Plains britt's used carberated motors German had fuel injection little to no stall in roll P4 & up had longer range gun with higer velocity than all allied tanks yes there engines were messy but when your factory's are bombed every day its hard to make a perficte park but still they did! I saw program about a ME109 manufactured in 1943 midle of the allied boming rades factory was hit every other day they took crak shaft to england rolls royce told them not to damage it as they dont think with curent lazer tech they could get as good of a refined percision peice as the hand made part was the germans had go equipment bad leader

technology went back and forth throughtout the war.

for example when the Russians made the T-34 the Germans saw that their tanks were crap so they made Tiger and Panther, the Russians then made T-34/85 and IS-2, the Germans made Tiger II, etc.

whenever either side came up with a good idea the opponent went back to teh drawing board and came up with a better idea.
