war with north korea isnt even an issue right now, but war with Iraq is in the presidents mind. he is turning into a war monger thinking it is justifiable with 9/11...well mr. bush hate to tell ya but that is in the past. diplomacy is the strongest power. I mean look at it, the entire UN negotiating with North Korea...if something cant be accomplished with that, nothing will hake:

All I know is that I played the Korean campaign in Falcon 4. And those crazy bastards push us all the way to the tip of the peninsula, where Japan was one of our only places left to launch bombers from and take out the Koreans. I think the war lasted a good week or so before the US withdrew all forces. This is why I would not want ot go to war with Korea, of course i had the setting on real hard, and I made the N. Korean supply larger than it was suppossed to be. The point is, I think we would be in for one hell of a fight.

Ok, i'll give my opinions but let me clarify one lil' thing for the crowd here.
The American government is a "Democratic operation", not a "Dictatorship" so lets get the "Evil Bush" thoughts out of your lil' heads. Bush can't do anything without the approval of Congress.

With that said, a war with Korea would seriously fuck things up for East Asia. Don't think for one minute that China would do nothing. They'd probably invade Taiwan and we wouldn't be able to do nothing since we'd already have our hands full. With the threat of nukes flying around, it wouldn't be pretty. I for one would seriously see some action here in NY....one of the 1st places targeted in any attack. The problem with that is i can't defend against a missle!!
War with any country is no joke but sometimes there is no other alternative. There is more than oil in Iraq that drives this country to war with them. Believe it or not, the American government hides things from the general public. I'm quite sure "they" know what they're doing. Why do you think Countries like Britain, Australia, Kuwait, and Israel (to name a few) are backing the US? No one wants to see a terrorist group be supplied a nuclear device, and thats what will happen if Saddam stays in power. Believe it or not, America might not be the 1st one to be hit by a terrorist nuke attack. Lets hope it never gets that far.
I'm standing behind President Bush and company on this invasion/ disarmament.

Old Reliable 01-28-2003 10:47 PM

well the thing Bush is obviously neglecting is the interest of the American economy.....

The same could be said about all the other presidents that sent this country to war.

One run of a squadron of stealth bombers would be enough to disable most of North Korea. We could destroy the entire country with just conventional weapons, probably.

Standing behind Bush is about the safest place to be. I am sure they know what the are doing as wall. And there is always an alternative to a war that has not started. And you are right no one want to see a terrorist group with a nuclear device, and you suggest we do nothing about North Korea, who will sell whatever to the highest bidder. As far as saddam being tied to Al queda highly doubtful. As for Al Queda having people in Iraq., very likely. If Sadam knew who they were they would be dead, and if they could get near Saddam he would be dead.
I'm not standing anywhere near President Bush and company on this invasion.

Old Reliable 01-28-2003 11:02 PM

well this war is unlike those wars, it basically comes down to the world's supply of petroleum and OPEC. they have control of it and our import buying power of oil. right now the economy sux (if you hadnt notice the DJIA dropped below 8k). many companies filing for chapter 11 and also a significan increase in corruption. i also heard bill gates is donating 200 million smackeroonies to aid 3rd world research oOo:

Arkan 01-28-2003 11:04 PM

Well Spark, i didn't mean to imply that the US should ignore the crisis facing the "World" in Korea. I just think if a war was to break out with them, it would get ugly across the globe and real fast.

WOW, i have never thought of it that way.....
i dont think they would target america first, the first place they target would be israel.

[RA]ZdaN 01-28-2003 11:13 PM

Well I for one think if we had a war with them it would be over pretty fast if they the N.Koreans decided to use nuclear or chemicle wepons because President Bush said it himself and it was a headline in the paper and it said WE WILL NUKE YOU.
