You goto remove it, then go through that dialog box that pops up. When it tries to open the Gator homepage, close it. End of story.

best way to get rid of gator, reformat...how do you guys get all that spyware anyways

use Ad-Aware

I use the windows built-in webpage filter. Works fine, I haven't had a popup attack yet.
