watch powell especially, and make sure your admins are familier with detecting chameleon skins.

i have heard there is no foolproof way to stop cheating in any online game since about '97, sounds about right to me...

in a lan, yea money can be invovled and there still can be no cheating.
in a online match for a million dollars, everyone would prolly be cheating.
in a online match on a ladder, some people cheat their way to the top but they don't win anything, all they really do is destroy the integrity of the ladder and of moh, and help kill the game. that is why not everyone cheats on the ladders.

in this online competition for a the donations, could very well be some cheaters there and could very well be a cheater who takes it.. go tg!

The whole thing sounds shady to me. I am not sure it would be a wise investment really, but that's just me... eek:

Gunning 02-04-2003 03:18 PM

Ok tha would be just retarded to sign up...i hope they take all your money. You can't detect chamelon skins..ask Powell. He should know everything about that.

02-04-2003 03:25 PM

you can't detect them, but if you watch the person carefully enough you can usually tell there is something shady going on.

MOH_Console 02-04-2003 04:52 PM

what exactly are these chameleon skins you all are speaking of? sorry if i am new to certain parts of the game.

I agree with Jasper, you might not want to join this, as it can be a scam.

Jasper 02-04-2003 07:12 PM

While Im sure arkitek is a good person IRL guys dont fall for this. Id be willing to bet its a scam even if they DO pay out to the winners. As soon as he mentioned PayPal I knew what was going on even without going to the site...

Everybody pays like $10 to enter but only $8 goes to the pot. Whatever it is I could set this up and make a weeks pay for one night. Even if its legit its been prooven the only way to do this legit without much chance of cheating is a big LAN where they have guys who watch the players first hand.

arkitek you may be a nice guy and you may not. All Im saying is I have seen this spur-of-the-moment thing before and for al we know the winner will be your room mate. Be carefull here is all Im saying guys.

i guess no one feels like calling me.lol well before you guys start saying scam this and scam that, did you read anything i wrote? prolly not, prolly just skipped to the last post and made your replies (well some of you anyway). But as for Jasper and Bazooka Joe, you havent even tried to call me, you havent sent any emails asking us questions, nothing. Jasper what did you say "All Im saying is I have seen this spur-of-the-moment thing before" How can you say this is a spur of the moment thing? Were you involved with the idea or the implementation of that idea? It took us about 2 months to put this together and its very typical of nay sayers such as yourself and bazooka to run around yelling SCAM SCAM SCAM! Have you even read whats on the site? I dopnt think so. Heres why. Right now we are having 1 contest. Thats tomorrow right? Ok. It's $7.50 Right? Ok We need 15 people right? Ok 7.50 x 15=$112.00 Ok? Good. Now you said "I could set this up and make a weeks pay for one night." $112? man you need another job....lol but anyway the point is we only take $20.00, which leaves $92.00 right? Ok now if you had read what was on the website, youde see that $62 goes to 1st place, $20.00 to 2nd, and $10.50 to 3rd. So you see how that goes? And just because we use PAYPAL doesnt mean this is a scam as you stated "As soon as he mentioned PayPal I knew what was going on even without going to the site..." You just assume you know the drill before you even GO to the site. COme on thats a little bias dont you think. Yes im sure your a good person to, but its the good people like you who speak before they actually knows whats going on that ruin allot of good things before they can get off the ground. So like i said if you wanna call me and talk to please do (915)598-7248 ask for Thomas, cuz thats my real name. Dont hide behind your screen name, CALL ME lets talk. Cuz i know for a fact you dont have the balls to!

Jasper 02-05-2003 08:48 AM

In reply to that book you wrote sponge (I just skimmed to the last sentence) I would have to say "no".

I could care less about your tournament. Really, I could care less.

What is heppening here is an attempt to cash in on a MP game.

Im not going to call or email you simply because it doesnt really interest me.

I play for fun, not pay. Hell, I suck too bad to even consider it. But if I did decide to join I would get my buddy Powell to be on my Team.

Seriously, Powell can this be done legit at all? Im not flaming I just want to know what your opinion is on this.
