not a fan of salt water Ill stick to the Great Lakes! At least this way nothing will eat me as I swim

Wheres the fun in that? it adds a whole new dimension when you swim in the ocean. I was once swimming out at Coronado (San Diego, CA) and a whole group of dolphins jump started swimming next to me and my mom it was freaking awsome. Then my dad said that where there were dolphins there was usually a shark. I didnt care to swim after that :(. Then my mom gut stung by a stingray that ended the fun times we had at the beach

i can swin.

Unknown_Sniper 02-11-2003 06:52 PM

yeah its seeing them so close out there is so awsome. Blitz-krieg start with floating on your back. if you can get that down you will have an easier time. Then advance to doggy paddle - freestyle - then learn to swim under the water for at least 20 seconds( it can be hard ). I recomend training for the last though. Take a deep breath and sink below the surface hold your breath untill you cant any longer then wait ten minutes and try again.

When I spent a couple months in The Phillipines three years back visiting family and whatnot, I did alot of snorkelling, and even swam with a pack of nurse sharks, or whatever you call 'em, unbelievable shit. My dad, uncle, cousins and I used to go Sturgeon fishing in the Fraser and Nachako up here in BC, but I don't think we can fish them anymore :(, I think they're endangered.

Unknown_Sniper 02-11-2003 07:06 PM

What the largest one youve caught? Ive seen some big stergeon like 500lbs+

Innoxx 02-11-2003 07:08 PM

Yeah, they get pretty big, the biggest one he caught was only 80lbs. Back in the day, you'd just jam a whole raw chicken on a meat hook and throw it in the river. They can get pretty old too, 90+ years old.
