Right. If you knew it would happen, then you also knew it contained errors. Why leave them in (that is, in this particular case, commenting on spelling and grammar). If it would have been a story about how many finches your big red cat has caught last Sunday, my only comment would be: Boy, aren't cats fun creatures?

Actually, I kind of agree on some points you're trying to make by starting this thread. I also understand what you mean, that it is not all about errors, but also about sloppiness; just thinking: They'll understand what I mean and post some incoherent story.

Ah well, it's not like we're writing the new bible here, and as far as incomprehensible stories go; there's always the 'back' button.

even though this post was nice to read from a grammatical standpoint, i would rather read something that actually has content to it.

Winnerkid13 had the best spelling ever.

Pest, give us some examples of users with good spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Dunno. I dont really recognize the good, average or mediocre. Its the truly piss-poor that I notice.

I guess I should restate what I said. Maybe when I find the edit button. As long as its coherent, I am generally fine. There is a big difference between informal and sloppy.

Me!

I usually try to check my posts for those things before submitting.

Well, here's my .02

I can understand a mistake here and there but when i see stupid obvious errors, i think the guy's an uneducated ass. If you want to sound smart, at least check what you're writing before clicking the "submit" button. Typos and some misspellings are ok but some stuff is just too much. And another thing...i don't mind shortcuts but some of the language is getting hard for me to understand. It took me awhile to understand what l33t was but to be honest, i can't keep up. Heck, it must be a "kid" thing.
Anyway, i didn't "proof-read" this so have at it and pick it to death!! I'm sure there's an error somewhere! Have fun.
