Walker 03-23-2003 06:30 PM

its not just that sound... the weapons sounds dont sound like they do in real life...

Pfc.Wallace 03-23-2003 06:43 PM

Ur right Walker, strange sounds when the bullets ricochette, like someone's whistling in the woods lol.U should sharpen these sounds a bit Itamar, they're too low quality, like shooting under the carpet or something...I personally liked the M1 and BAR sounds, but grenade explosion seemed just like bazooka firing. And axis rifle was just auwful...
But the sounds were kinda cool overally

Itamar 03-24-2003 12:01 AM

hmm

First of all Axis rifle are BoB replica , if you dont "see" that , then something is wrong with your hearing....

Now , what door opening sounds are you talking ?! oOo:

I never have those sounds...
Rico can you give a third opinion on that thing ?

and for Wallace ... the sounds are at 44100 Khz and 44bit sample rate...
So they're the best for mohaa... Give me exact details on which weapons you hear what...I'll try to see if it's true on my side...

Thanks
Itamar..
Constructive Crits are good ...! ;-)

The doors sound like talking? lol

I think they sound fine mate, never had a problem with them.

At the end of the day its down to personal preference.

How is the new pak coming along Itamar? What we got to look forward to? freak:

Pfc.Wallace 03-24-2003 06:18 AM

Maybe Itamar, maybe...
I think i should check my collection of BoB again, and compare those sounds with what u have in ur pack m8.
Axis mp sounds like mg42 though, from BoB.
But i've seen many strange sounds in different games, so...
For example Close Combat series, mg's sound very strange, haven't heard anyhing like that in war movies i've seen.
But if u say that the sound quality is ok, then i guess it's ok.
Actually, maybe it's just my imagination, but when i installed ur sound pack, i think i started performing better with the M1 Garand, lol :)

Itamar 03-24-2003 07:17 AM

hehe

Maybe
But the MP40 was actually the hardest to make ... It sounds like BoB ...:-) At least when they shoot from long range... It was really hard to capture..

MG42 sounds a lot diffrent...! :-) man common !!
MG42 is a whole other story ! !:-)

btw Rico , I meant that walker hears some door opening sounds.....
Not talking sounds....:-) lol

Itamar

Hey wallace , M1 sound will be better in the pack
and Rico I wont tell now ... but remember that Fubah and Double U are invovled , so start imagining..! :-)

Walker 03-24-2003 07:21 AM

Most of the weapons sounds like theyre being fired from far away, even with youre the one firing.

Itamar 03-24-2003 08:12 AM

haha

I never heard such complains about the mod...

Seems weird Walker... the Thompson is maybe the most accurate one in the mod .. so ...I dont know ..
Maybe the sound is too low for you ?

Itamar.

guarnere 03-24-2003 09:33 AM

Nah, I listened to it...half of them are sweet...the other half...sounds like you took them from Day of Defeat sound packs

Itamar 03-24-2003 02:09 PM

hahah

Guarnere that's bull
I dont take anything from anyone I can build my own sounds

Belive me....

I dont even know the link to Day of Defeat ... :P

So give me a break..

Itamar...
