Correct, I was referring to the original game engine, Half-Life, was about 5 or 6 years old.

I wonder if it would work without Half Life, or if it would work with my warez copy of HL, tee hee, cuz my cd key doesnt work. But i hope it doesnt need HL

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

There are counter-strike ONLY copies of Counter Strike that only require COUNTER STRIKE to run. In some cases though - its simply cheaper to just BUY a 19 dollar copy of Half Life, and get the FREE mods.
