[quote="Old Reliable":bb376]how much would it cost for a piano lesson and are privates the best way for that?[/quote:bb376] It all depends on the teacher. At this place that i go to (Nazareth Music Center), there are private teachers for every instrument. The piano lady is going for $15 for a half hour. BUT, if you already know music (reading notes, rhythms, etc) then i'd recomend you just teach yourself it. It's not that hard once you know music...maybe the hardest thing will just be finding which finger hits what key at what time.
I'm currently teaching myself piano and I think it is pretty easy. You can just go buy a book that would teach you the fundimentals. |
Yeah, 32 bucks canadian per 1/2 an hour for bass lessons up here. I did what Snacki did and just took it for a couple of months to learn the basics. Then I brought books and taught myself along with playing by ear. I've been playing alot lately and I'm re-developing my caluses (sp?). I also heard that it costs 500 bucks per hour to get lesson from Joe Santriani.

$500 for Santriani! Man, imagine how much Joe Satriani charges!! heh heh heh biggrin:

For 2 hours with a trumpet player named Maynard Ferguson (popular funk player) is $2,000...yeah and he's worth every cent too. God, i wish i was half as good as that guy.
