mrangry, shows how much you know. The game has an embedded KEY so that if it gets hacked, it wont work.....n00b.

And yet, I have seen a hacked version work in sp and mp.

Newt, your problem may be that (wild speculation) the hacked version you tried first is still stuck in your registry. Get a reg cleaner and try the store bought version again.

I think I used the one called regcleaner. After it is installed (and vietcong uninstalled), run the program and delete any reference to vietcon in your registry. Then re-install vietcong. I beleive CD keys tend to be stored in your registry and dont get deleted when the program does.

Hoepfully this will help.

sorry but I don't want to fuck with my comp cause its on the edge of being seriously fucked biggrin:

Newt you gotta also be running directx 9x. Make sure that has been loaded if not the game wont run. Just a thought.

BTW, the game is pretty cool, online play is fun, but still no good/stable servers yet.

After you uninstall vietcong, if you havent already, you open the regcleaner software. I dont know the exact menus since I dont have it in front of me, but it will be something along the lines of clean reigistry. It should show you every thing in your registry, find and highlight anything to do with vietcong, then click clean/delete/ok/whatever. Restart your pc (just to be safe) and try installing vc again.

I think B_joe has detailed instructions on how to perform this for MOH somewhere (mohadmin.com??). It will be very similar to what you need to do with vc. If you cant figure it out, try contacting him.
