Rob Trujillo is the shoalin bass master biggrin:

Trujillo is awesome.

BTW, double bass action refers to double bass DRUM action....double kicks by Lars. Not bass guitar.

But, there's gonna be lotsa bass guitar on there too no doubt.

MrLevinstein 05-05-2003 05:44 PM

Double bass is always good, reminds me of AJFA where Lars had his best drumming

Zoner 05-05-2003 06:02 PM

Definitely.

Funny that the band hates that record, huh? I think it's their best work (well, kinda tied with "Puppets...")

Id say the order of greatness goes a little like this

1. Puppets
2. Justice
3.Ride
4.Kill em all
5.Black
6. SM
7.reload
8.load
9.garage inc

(never heard garage days revisted)

i would say nuber 5.black should be first, but thats me

Zoner 05-06-2003 05:45 AM

Really? That's surprising. A lot of people would say that the Black album is where Metallica started to go "wrong". But, hey, if you dig it, that's cool.

"Sad But True" is a great tune, though...

geRV 05-06-2003 06:41 AM

Bleh it'll probably blow anyway.

Zoner 05-06-2003 08:44 AM

Possibly, but I really hope it doesn't.

MrLevinstein 05-06-2003 02:49 PM

In the back of my head a little voice says St. Anger will suck and wont be metallica, but i try to shut it up.

Ahhh I didn't like the black album very much at all. oOo:

KILLER_ 05-06-2003 11:52 PM

everything pre-black was great. Black was good. and everything after black made me switch to listening to Pantera primarily.. "back in the day" ofcoarse.

But with all this Nu metal shit nowdays, I'll take anything Metallica wants to give. I'm going to see this tour.. I hope.

MrLevinstein 05-07-2003 04:50 AM

Oh well Metallica definatly kicked ass with "Frantic" last night off the new album, looks very promising ed:

Zoner 05-07-2003 05:04 AM

We get a Canuck version of MTV on satellite here, but I don't think it's the same as the one in the U.S.
