Urban Terror (Q3 mod) had a simaller system (as I'm sure many other games also have), but if you are running through the spawn real quick it gives them an extra couple of seconds to line up a really good shot. But the advantages of such a system outweigh such small greivances as this so yes I think it could work well.

divisionbell77: I don't think you quite picture how it could work. Example, the Allies can actually run to the end of the street, engage the enemy, or even just find the team killer and gang up on him before he wipes em all out.

I think they should make a mod, that if you shoot a teammate 3 times you will be banned from the server!!
so if your score is -3 you will be BANNED!! |
I got an amazing idea for getting around the FF issue, GO TO A FF OFF SERVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, if you wait a few seconds until someone can be killed by FF, so will the FF abusers!!!!!! So instead of dieing at the beginign of the level, you will 5 seconds later. GEE, GREAT IDEA! Wow, so hard!!! |
Few secs of invunerability might be good but in maps like Omaha that will be in multiplayerr it would give the Allies a bit of an unfair advantage
