your machine is fine to play. Just try different settings for video, graphics, etc.
My back up PC is a P3 550 GF2 MX 64, 512 sdram and it runs fine.

dude, you can try multiplayer if you really want to. when 56K modems were made they used data compression to get to 56K, in some instances people who ran 36K got a more steady rate of data than from a 56K., so it dosent hurt to try

Don't know why anyone would waste their time on single play anyway. AI is too predictable in pretty much any game. Killing someone with thier own moves,tactics and different skill levels is what makes MP such a rush. Single play is just too boring and repetitive for me. Just my opinion though...
