Unless someone is spamming recent threads I don't really want to see anyone saying "that's old" here.

That has to be one of my biggest peeves about this place. It may be old to you (in which case why are you looking at it?) but it's not going to be old to everyone.

Following that logic and that precedent, you've set it up so that all forums can get spammed to shit - not just this one. I think its annoying because yes, while it IS new to the person posting it - they are soliciting responses from people who have ALREADY talked about it. Seems a bit redundant and just adds to the clutter. I mean - when the topic title is the EXACT same as the original - annoy:.

Maybe, just maybe, someone didn't see the 1st riaa hitlist b/c they were away at WORK or spending time with their family. *cough cough*. No I haven't. If someone spams the forum they get warned then banned.

And what we regard spam to be is clearly stated in the rules. This topic is not spam and that's final.

And clutter is no longer an issue here seeing as we now have an active owner who has worked hard to clear the problems that were causing this place to shit out so often (tell me when this place crashed since BS came back - Just name one time).

Unless someone is abusing the rules none of the mods will step in. The rules have not been abused here. It's personal preference to you and a few other people that this topic is old. You aren't the only people here and not everyone has read this topic from July.

As there have been on-topic replies I think that holds up my argument.

If there was a replica of this topic posted only recently then I'd have been happy to lock this one and point everyone to that topic but the topic you showed me is over a month old.

If you want to help the mods do things (such as cut out spam and repeated threads) then please do so as the rules suggest, by PMing one of us.

Since I've been a mod I've received a number of PMs, some helpful suggestions, some where I've been pointed to abuse of the rules and some polite requests.

I have replied to every single one of them.

Perhaps if you all just tried to do things in line with what we have asked of you (ie, if you want something done just ask politely) instead of flaming people because it's the only language you know then I'd not have to spend every fucking day arguing with you.

It's getting on my tits because it's needless. All of it.

What's the point of us spending time writing rules that are fair to everyone when no one reads them and continues as if nothing happened to this place over the last few weeks.

If you don't like what someone does here, either ask them to stop it (within the rules) or PM a mod.

Other than that, everything else is just going to be ignored.
