Is CoD shipping with Punkbuster? That would weed out the h4x and eliminate the whining too.

the only 2 games i know with a killcam type thing are dod and bf42. probably 90% of servers have that turned off. the whole point of a sniper is that theyre hidden and the person they killed doesnt know where they are. in real life once you got shot by a sniper you'd be dead and wouldnt have a chance to go back and kill him. almost everybody who plays dod wants to get rid of deathcam (just look at the forums at dodmod.com), theres no point at all putting it in the game, it just gives you a free wallhack with the game.
the only time it actually could be useful is in obj modes where you dont respawn. then you can watch that player in spec (aslong as spec chat is hidden to players).

i dont like the idea of the 2nd gametype much. just sounds like another moh idea, axis soldiers running around a town using radar to track down allies. doesnt sound very realistic for a realistic ww2 game. i can see this game ending up like moh in mp after a few months

and i dont mind playing as the axis, i nearly always play as them in any game. they had the best army on earth in 1939, and the army wasnt made up of nazis. they were just normal german men and soldiers like the allied soldiers.

Im kinda thinking this is a good idea in "competetion" sense ONLY. Sometimes I'd like to know where this person came from and how they ambushed me. I like PESTS 3 time rule.

This gameplay could be interesting actually. With some good maps it can force Allied players to play in a team.

Allied players are actively hunted by Axis players using a GPS-style radar system that tracks their most recent locations. Once an Axis player frags an Allied player, the Axis player becomes an Allied soldier and is then able to start scoring points (while the Allied player becomes an Axis soldier and joins the others in the hunt).

Interesting.

However, I know some people who will never play this mode because they have strong emotions and hatred for what the Nazis did to Jews and other minorities. They flat out refuse to play on the Axis team, no matter how lop-sided the teams are. I respect that. So, this mode will cause some stir with those players. Sure, there aren't a whole lot of people out there who have this potent moral objection to playing on the Axis side, but it'd be a shame for some good players to be forced to bow out of the game.[/quote:404e1]

i always found this to the dumbest excuse i have ever heard for not switching teams. Long long time ago when i was in a clan, we were gonna have a match with anonther clan but we were axis. this idiot said he was jewish so he would not play as axis & he started fighting for the other clan! we had an admin kick him finally. stupid:

I know one guy who's legit with his stance on never playing on the Axis side. It's not because he like the allied weapons more or anything juvenile like that.

It's his personal preference and moral code. So, we who know him, respect it.

they could make it so if one axis spots an ally the other players would see an arrow on their map showing location and approximate direction (as though the guy spotted the allied player and radioed his position)

Yea, but I think it certainly goes more than that. And really - if you're that offended why are you playing the game in the first place. Not to be harsh or anything, but you KNOW what youre getting into when you log on to a server, and if you're working through some emotions, that aint the way to go.

I agree, it is a little extreme. I'm just putting that viewpoint out there.

Anyway, I still think killcam licks anus.
