i wonder why there is no multiplayer demo?, i think that they made the sp part of the game to run awsome, and the multiplayer part they couldnt perfect, so they toss out the sp demo's and get the people hooked into thinking the whole game including the mp will run perfect , but really, the multiplayer will be slow and buggy as hell.........

who you gonna belive, me or them biggrin:

ive been thinking that more and more as more videos, screens and info has been coming out. when i first found the cod site in about march, it looked like it was gonna be a dod type realistic ww2 game, and sp does look like it will be. but mp is looking more like moh every week. especially since they released that mp screenshot, where one of the two kills onscreen was from a panzerfaust, and there were health packs by the corpses. people didnt run around using rockets against each other in any war, and health packs never fell from dead soldiers, which healed other ones when they ran over them. maybe if you had to stop and pick up the health, and couldnt use your gun while healing, like in dod3.1 or firearms, then it would be realistic. and theres the new gametype where the axis have a radar to track down allies.

but if it is as modable as IW say it is, then hopefully someone will make a mod to make the game more realistic, not just another frag-fest, with 75% of the kills coming from rockets and nades

well a CoD MP demo would rock!

i have a feeling they will try to make it more like RTCW or DoD
not only did MoHAA have shitty MP b/c of the health packs, but also because the guns were completely off balance, like BF1942...all soldiers didnt run around with fuckin StG's and BARs, there was one BAR soldier per unit, most of the soldiers had regular rifles, and DoD did a good job of making that work, i really hope CoD does the same...

well in the one screenshot ive seen of mp, theres an axis in the middle with an mp40 (or 44, cant remember), theres an stg on the floor from a dead player, and the player (who's allied) is even using an stg

rtcw and sof2 both had a separate exe for mp, which was very different from sp, like the gravity, weapon realism etc. sp is looking very realistic, but mp will probably have everything changed like moh

there is a link on this forum and its pretty crazy

Airborne Butters 10-12-2003 02:13 PM

as jumpy and crazy as Enemy Territory and RTCW gameplay is, the teamplay aspect is top notch. I for one feel a teed heroic when I jump through firing bullets, revive a teamate then jump the hell outta there. I hope CoD does that type of stuff. Also, the HL2 mod called Last Great War looks promosing.

i doubt a mp demo will be out because its so close to the release date.
