Who is the baseball commissioner? Who keeps blocking any moves to hire one? Oh, Steinbrenner, you say? Really? Imagine that. Ever since the last one suggested salary caps, the big dogs have decided they didnt need a commissioner.

Wether what team you were rooting for, the game was really good, and very close.

And the Yanks tied the game in the bottom of the 8th with 1 out, then they blew 2 more. They won it in the bottom of the 11th with a solo shot homer.

Let me get this straight. Your saying payroll was a factor when the series came down to extra innings in game 7 with the Sox starting the most devastating pitcher in the game? I find that amusing.

Tell that to the 2001 Yankees who lost the World Series to the Diamondbacks. That payroll cliche' is so overplayed it's ridiculous.

Well, like arkan said, you still have to play the games. But look who is there year after year, the highest paid teams. The vary reason why othre sport implement salary caps.

Baseball is the professional boxing of major pro sports, run by the guys with the most money and best lawyers.
