A place called kazaa lite. Took a while to find it, and it took a while to download, but it got up to 150kb/sec. Its not DVD quality, but its a shit load better than those videos.

Zen 12-10-2003 12:20 AM

I downloaded them all , the Bush one was chopped up and I couldn't see it but the rest came in fine.

I didn't think they were all that funny. Not because they had stupid people anwsering questions , or because they were Americans. It just didn't strike me.
I was pretty damned amazed these people fell for some of that though.

Perticulary , VCRs and staplers being banned , the electricity in Parlament , and of corse the whole igloo thing.

Old Reliable 12-10-2003 12:21 AM

its because they were paid to say it...idiots

CaP bUsTa 12-10-2003 12:33 AM

The best is when Mercer asks a lady how many states canada has
The lady has no fucking clue and just guesses. Then the next thing you know, her son pops up and says "Wait a second mom, Canada doesnt have states it has provinces!"
Stupid bitch.

JBird 12-10-2003 03:03 AM

ever watch jay leno? he does a segment called jay-walking, basically the same thing...

oh, and both these and the leno segments are barely funny. sleeping:

Madmartagen 12-10-2003 03:07 AM

yeah i was about to make that post. its the same thing, they get a bunch of yahoos on the street and ask them questions that i bet jay wouldnt even know the answers to. i dont see the funny in this, im sure canada has produced as much less than bright people as much as we have.
its because they were paid to say it...idiots[/quote:c3c2d]

Yeah, right, they paid off Bush too, eh? hake:

Old, just stop. No one was paid anything to say anything.

I find it very unlikely that the CBC would waste what little money they have to pay Americans, including Pres. Bush, to say stuff like that. hake:

Besides, you think Bush would really say something that could make him look so stupid on purpose?
smells like bullshit, its made for tv, its not real[/quote:4278f]

Unfortunately, it's real.

I met Rick Mercer in St. John's once...nice fella. Shorter than I expected...heh heh.

Old Reliable 12-10-2003 12:53 PM

then im pretty shocked people are that stupid....thats what you get when you have to pay to go to college annoy:

ninty 12-10-2003 12:56 PM

Well, stage a coup to try to install soviet era politics like they tried to do in 91.

bukdez 12-10-2003 01:11 PM

the best was when rick goes to harvard, and even the profs are fooled... or when he tells them that canada just allowed irish-canadians to vote, too-funny...

Madmartagen 12-10-2003 02:18 PM

I think the reason is that people are more willing to believe TV and reporters than to say that they are stupid. they're just gullible.

LOL

You are assuming that we care.

So just out of curiosity, how many?

How many provinces in Mexico while you are at it? Or Russia? Off the top of your head of course, with a camera and a mike shoved in your face.

But yeah, you can find plenty of dumb people in the states. Most of the ones where I live are transplanted yankees.

Zoner 12-10-2003 02:37 PM

Granted, some things you may not know about Canada. Fair enough.

But, everyone in the States should know that Canada uses a 24-hr clock not a 20-hr clock. That's just fucking dumb.
