Yeah but what is the point of sending a felon to jail if there is no chance of that person changing? It is a waste of time and resources to let someone rot in a cell and we have to feed them and pay for everything. I dont know about other states, but CA considers violent crimes to be a disease or epidemic that can be cured with rehabilitation. I agree with this in many cases, I'm sure everyone has heard stories of someone who did his time and now leads a productive life and has a family and a good job/career. I believe that kind of opportunity should be available for bank robbers, drunk drivers, drug users, and criminals like that AFTER they have done their time. Special cases like serial killers and rapists should be denied these opportunites because of the details and nature of their crime. They kill and rape because they like it. That mentality is sub-human and in too many cases, the perps commit the same type of crime after they do their time.

yeah.... i'm saying the killers, rapists, and the really "bad" criminals should rot in tiny cells, with little light, bread and water, and thats it, for the rest of thier lives, death is too easy an out, once they are dead, they aren't aware that they are being punished. Since when does punishment = rehabilitation....i dont think it does or should.... some guy steals a car, yeah put him in normal jail, and a year later he'll probably be better, or else more adept at stealing after learning from his fellow inmates...

i dont think this applies to everyone, but whatever...
besides you cant just execute everyone that is convicted, sometimes they get the wrong guy....

Chances are he will have a tv in his cell with Cable and Satellite...

he deserves death. I live in the area he terrorized (one of the shootings was at the Home Depot down the road from me) and he should die for what he did and how he acted after he was caught. I don't want my money paying for him to live on cable tv or even food.

they should make torture legal for crimes that extreme....they should also make dueling to the death legal, that would be awesome.

I heard on the news that those bastards planned to stake out a school and wound, not kill, a bunch of kids for the whole purpose of terrorizing the area.
I think for these guys we need to have a public bayonetting, they're human only in the scientific sense (their bodies are homo sapien) their minds certainly are not.

fIF you have capital punishment you might as well round up all the prisoners on death row and let them fight it out in a gladiator arena. Then we all watch and gasp in aww. I guess REligion doesn't have much say in these things any more. NOr does Jebus oOo:
