You forgot me. However, I find the economy, education, and foreign affairs much more important than the issue of gay marriage. I will say this, though. I think there is a different motive behind the push for gay marriage than just the need to be recognized by the state as a couple. Financial benefits and groups such as GLAAD imposing their beliefs on the system are factors behind the push for gay marriage. The problem is, if you open up marriage for one interest group, you have to open it up for all. That means if I want to marry some triplets, or whatever else, then by God I have the right to do so under fair and equal treatment. Implementing gay marriage will have consequences down the road. It's bad enough that we already have freak show towns such as San Francisco and New Orleans having gay parades, which are city operations, meaning they are funded by the people's tax money of all things. The parades, which involve naked people running around on the streets and having butt sex at times can't be healthy for America, and that's what I'm worried about. As long as they leave me alone, then I don't have a major problem with it, but since that won't happen, and the gay community will continue to shove their lifestyle down our throats, I do have a problem with it. |
Never watched the show.
I make my own opinions. |
Please don't derail this thread, the thread is not specifically about gay marriage. It is addressing a much more broad situation:
Liberals - which are a minority of the population but control a majority of all media outlets - are shaping the laws and policies of America AGAINST the will of the majority. And yes I know Bush wasn't the majority winner and I am definitely not saying that I agree with how he came into office. I will say that I'm glad Al Gore wasn't in office. |

Right on. The hard thing is that in a republic, the people don't really have their say, only who they elect. [quote:794c6]And yes I know Bush wasn't the majority winner and I am definitely not saying that I agree with how he came into office. I will say that I'm glad Al Gore wasn't in office.[/quote:794c6] Bush didn't win the majoity of the population, but he DID win the majority of the COUNTRY. Just because a highly-populated (and then generally more liberal) area has more people doesn't mean they get more say, at least not in elections. We can not allow rural and less-populated areas to be trampled on by big cities. That is why our constitution sets up the electoral college, that is why Bush got elected, and I believe that it is also the best system availble to truly get the voice of the COUNTRY (not nessicarily pop.) into our government. Oh, and if Gore would have been elected, then there would have been at least one more major attack on our country after 9/11. I don't believe that Gore would take the proper actions againts terrorists to insure our freedom. GOP rock: |

And all O'Reilly does is interrupt his guests and shout at them until they either get pissed and lose their train of thought or they agree to get him to shut the fuck up. Not to mention that he claims to be "fair and balanced" but he forces his own opinions down the throat of his audience and tries to discredit anyone that opposes him. Eames.. I'm trying to put this as nicely as possible.. but please stay out of my threads. Every time you step in it completely and utterly debases everything I've said. |
I have said for years that politically correct shit will be the USA's downfall. I hate it.

That guy is a jackass. I swear every other time I watch the show his views are different on every subject. All he cares about is ratings for the network. Him and Rush Limpdick should get together and hump each other.

BTW: The reason the Twin Towers were attacked was that the US has too many Homesexuals.
