and pieces sounds good, keep it up. get some programs : Reason (2) Recycle and Cubase. |
I'm starting to get into playing classical guitar pieces. There so intricate. Then again, I try to play some of everything from Bach to Hendrix.

I like jazz A LOT. But not really classical.
|
Not a big fan of jazz myself, but then I could be thinking about the wrong kind of jazz (ie Kenng G). I do like classical music though, I like Howard Shore, John Williams rock: , and Mozart. I listen to KMZT in La when I drive around at night. About half of my cds are soundtracks too.

EVERYONE must download stuff by the "GRP All-Star Big Band"....just amazing skill ed: As for classical guitar, that stuff is amazing. I wish i could play guitar for that reason. I wish more people looked into playing classical guitar--it'll help with technique and maybe it could carry over into some of the other styles that the musician plays. |

Your right, it does help with technique. It helps you work on speed and accruacy. And even some of the simplest pieces (like Borree) sound really intricate and complex. |
Here's a Classical guitar piece, an invention by Bach.
[url:8541c]http://www.cky2k.org/upload/uploads/bachinvent.113.mid[/url:8541c] I didn't make this, I just exported it from Power Tab (a great free program, by the way) The midi track sounds better in Power tab, so, if you have the editor, here it is. miles davis is great

I love classical music. Inever really listen to much Jazz. However i love using jazz chords while playing guitar. You have to stretch your hand out so far for many of the chords, pain in the ass.
|
I like some classical music.
Some can be really boring to me, but others can really get me thinking. I really like the music on most soundtracks...I don't know the conductors by name but some soundtracks I really like are SPR and BOB, and the soundtracks for MOH; things like that are where my heart for classical lies. |
