I decided I would toss in my bit after finding a few things I imagine some of you would find entertaining.

I also want to stress that my wife and I have long decided we would vote Kerry this year.

That being said, in the last few elections I have found myself forced to choose the lesser of two evils... case in point: the 2000 alternative to Bush..

Al Gore

"During my service in the United States congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

On NBC's Meet the Press, Lisa Myers asked "Can you say that none of the Democrats you've campaigned for are liars?" Gore responded "Yes." Lisa asked again "Not a single one?" Al Gore again replied "Well, yes." Well, what about Bill Clinton?

In an ad for Al Gore in 1988 it said that he was "A brilliant student, Gore won a scholarship at Harvard where he graduated with honors." During High school, Al Gore was put in the lower fifth of his class and received multiple Cs and Ds.

In the American Prospect, Gore said "I introduced the very first free TV legislation...". Actually, there were 163 Bills for free or reduced cost TV introduced in Congress since 1960.

"That Micheal Jackson is amazing! Three plays in 2 minutes!" -About Micheal Jordan

"A zebra does not change its spots."

I could go on...

Here are a few quotes I found stated by some of the worlds most respected leaders.

I don't intend for this to take on a political tone. I'm just here for the drugs.
--Nancy Reagan, former First Lady

I have no ambition to govern men; it is a painful and thankless office.
Thomas Jefferson

People who like this sort of thing will find this the sort of thing they like.
Abraham Lincoln

When the President does it, that means that it's not illegal.
Richard Nixon

Welcome to President Bush, Mrs. Bush, and my fellow astronauts.
Dan Quayle

It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it.
Dan Quayle

That lowdown scoundrel deserves to be kicked to death by a jackass, and I'm just the one to do it.
Congressional Candidate in Texas

Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion... in private self-defense.
John Adams

My brother Bob doesn't want to be in government - he promised Dad he'd go straight.
John F. Kennedy

Things are more like they are now than they ever were before.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
Margaret Thatcher

China is a big country, inhabited by many Chinese.
Charles de Gaulle

The people who cast the votes don't decide an election, the people who count the votes do.
Joseph Stalin

A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward.
Franklin Roosevelt

He loved politicians - even Republicans.
Margaret Truman

Democracy is when the indigent, and not the men of property, are the rulers.
Aristotle

G.W. has managed to make a fool of himself on countless occasions...but he is certainly not the first nor I doubt the last.

Kerry has no backbone. He is nobody. Whatever he thinks the crowd wants him to be, thats what he makes himself.

And, I could not vote for somebody that would condone legal murder, such as John Kerry.

Given the achievements of Gore, and the space-age logic of Quayle
...you can only sigh and wonder about an America that might have been.

The odd slip-up here and there is fair enough, but Bush manages to fuck things up consistently. (Probably due to brain damage inflicted during his cocaine/alcohol days.)
