pacific assault was garbage, an you people gotta realize, Doom 3 was not about replay, it was about stunning graphics and that first play threw sequnce, like a movie, it is meant for a great first time fuck, then its not meant for anything else, If anything I would say next to COD UO it is the best game of 2004.

PA was a steaming crock of shit, sorry but if you want physics and good gameplay play farcry

doom3 was ok for like a day, but too repetetive.. not many weps, and only a few monsters

right now im waiting for quake 4 but the q4 team decided to use doom3 engine and that kinda sucks because i liked quake coders because of their good independant engines.. Quake 2 engine helped gabe newell make his "HalfLife Engine" and Quake 3 engine was used as a base for MOHAA, RTCW, ET, COD, and a few that im missing. I dont like Doom3 Engine because it uses alot of system specs, its all about graphics and not alot on gameplay/physics (although the scripting was pretty good)

Lol by good you mean glitched to shit, pa uses havok physics engine 2 and from the looks of it they managed to balls it up.

Thats just two of a load of screens i have showing screwed up implementation of the physics system. Physics and ragdoll in counterstrike source crap on these with ease.

you have to understand that its just a demo. They are testing it out and seeing people's reactions so they can fix any bugs.. but i still like it and at least they didnt put in a 'debug menu' like valve did rofl.

May be a demo, but cs source is still beta and it has a more "complete" feel to it, physics work properly at least, the oens in pa are just completly fucked up and barely work properly.

they work fine for me, the death sequence can be fixed so no dead people wont squat or lie feet down and head in air..but if you wound them they fall down, then slowly rise back up using their gun for support..thats what i like.
