Try to get a rapper to play a guitar, or drums .. or any instrument. [/quote:fe4b3] I've heard stupid comments in my life and this is up there with them. Lets see a guitarist or drummer rap. Anyone can pick up a guitar and make sound, anyone can bang on drums, anyone can yell lyrics. It takes skill to play guitar, play drums, and rap. But you are probly 12 or 13 and you are posting on the internet so whatever. I'm hungover bad. |

::sigh::
new rap is horrible, but rap like the kind Trippar likes is good, he told me about a few that rule. A rapper cant play guitar (in most cases) and a guitarist cant rap (in most cases). So we're equal, now everyone stfu. |

There's a handful of absolute retards on these forums that only seem to pop-up when they have a chance to post the most cliche, idiotic posts that a human being is capable of. This is one of them. Granted todays mainstream rap has forced good rap into an underground sub-culture, there still is plenty of excellent hiphop being made. Just gotta know where to look. Nelly isn't hiphop - He's new-hop, or hip-pop. There's a lot less focus on lyricism, and even lack thereof, so it can hardly be called 'rap,' because there is little actual rap. That music basically serves as music to dance to, with the beat being the basis - I'm fine with it, but I don't credit it as rap or even hiphop....It's an entirely new genre. |
