Man, I'm sick of this fucking shit.....I dunno why I still give a damn after like 3 years of defending hiphop as a musical genre from countless orders of noobs who come out of absolutely NOWHERE with comments like:

"George Bush > Rap"

"OMFG I LIKE THIS COOL ROCK BAND RAP SUCKS ITS SO SHIT TALKING OVER A BEAT"

You just look like fucking ignorant, nieve fucks when you write off an entire genre like that.

Sgt Scrotum, I expected more from you - I guess you really are just a young narrow-minded cuntface.

there is some rap i can stand. i like it when it is more than someone talking really fast to a beat. when they have rythm and i can understand what they r saying and the lyrics r good then i like it. lyrics r important to music and what makes a song most of what it is.

You've probably only heard mainstream crap-hop, that's the only rap the public sees, so thats the only representation of the whole hiphop genre that the general public have access too.

It's pitiful that a whole genre of great music gets written off because they're represented by a pack of money hungry morons.

@/\/G3L 11-07-2004 04:17 PM

I have actually heard more "underground" rap than the mainstream stuff. They both suck. Most of the sounds can be made on a cheap midi keyboard. If i can find somewhere to host it i can put up some of the stuff that i have done. No lyrics or anything just beats with some other stuff in it.

Well you're either lying or listening to what you THINK is "underground" rap.....You're probably just listening to shitty mainstream attempt hiphop or maybe just shitty underground rap. I mean, you say you've listened to it, but you've probably only listened to like one song or one group.....and you're writing off a whole genre which is fully ignorant and a fucking moronic thing to do to any genre of music.

The rap and hiphop I listen to generally has intricate beats made from samples cut from old LPs/Vinyl and shit like that. Not easy to make. As much as you think it is, it isn't.
