I drive an automatic grand am.

Ive only driven Golfs which are standard, but im still pretty much learning how to drive standard.

Ive driven a Mazda 3 that was like automatic and manuel or you get the choice...it was weird.

Yeah, the rental I have on this trip is a Mazda 6 with that config. I don't see the point though. I doubt that you gain and MPG using the manual. Plus, doesn't feel right shifting without a clutch.

My cars are 5 speeds but my moms car is an auto. I like both equally. Its nice to just sit with a coffe in one hand and the wheel in the other and navigate around town with the auto but flying trough a windy road once im out of the city makes me want the 5 speed. Ninty9 I forgot that you had a Daytona. What year and engine does yours have? Iv got a lebaron GTS with a 2.2l turbo, kind of a cousin to your car.

that picture is the one i have. same color....your gonna sit there and tell me that 160 hp dual overhead cam vtec is underpowered? its only 4 cylanders you knob. being that i own one, and drive it everyday, i can tell you first hand that it is not sluggish at all. its very quick, very responsive, and i will say this again....the best car i have ever owned. my previous car was 94 Thunderbird SC , which was considerably more powerful, 3.8L supercharged V6 that put out 275hp.

i love this car and i think it is super sexy looking. i previously wasnt a fan of hatchbacks until i saw this in the honda showroom and took it for a test drive. dont knock it until you try it.[/i]

Doctor Duffy 03-09-2005 05:57 PM

Well, I DONT, but my parents drive on Automatic.

Me, on the other hand, I prefer to walk with right foot first before left.

Yeah, Daytona/Laser/Lebaron are all pretty much the same, they just differ in the way they look.

Unfortunatley my Daytona is only a 2.5L with no turbo.

my first car a 1991 baby blue hatchback ford escort was a stick.

after that auto > all

Duke_of_Ray 03-09-2005 08:00 PM

Auto is all I like to drive. The stick is just a pain to me, rather just put it in drive and hammer down.

MrLevinstein 03-09-2005 08:12 PM

I can drive stick easily, hardest part is stoppin on a hill. fun as hell

THIS JUST IN:
15 seconds at 90mph is NOT FAST

the civic si is just the bastardized version of the civic type R (currently only available in japan)

GG

5 Speed Chevy Cavalier. 96. Hoping to trade her in for a 2000-2001 z24. The 150 to 155hp 2.4l DOHC felt like a great drive, something with a good amount of power and good economy.

THe type R civic is not all that much more to begin with. They become fantastic cars once modified with spoon parts. aka weight reduction, etc.

both of you stop now before you get carried away. That civic is a very fast machine next to my montero. It takes me abotu 20 seconds to get to 60 and I can hit the 1/4 in about half a minute. but once I get that thing going 80 its hard to stop biggrin:

Short Hand 03-09-2005 09:46 PM

Your a off roader though. fuck speed.

Bleuachdu 03-09-2005 09:48 PM
