eek: Why would you needa a quad cpu mainboard for an sli setup? Not like it'll drive the graphics cards any faster unless a games coded to take advantage of dual cpu's or whatever one will just sit there doing nothing. As for gaming, dual\quad cpu boards are usually intended for servers so they usually dont have a lot of overclocking options, some do but a lot don't. |

No games take advantage of dual cpus (or hyperthreading). So it's a massive waste of money if you are just using it for gaming. |
From what i know quake 3 takes advantage of smp, not saying much though, a game thats near 6 years old. oOo:

Dunno whos gonna buy that kinda card, 2 6800 ultras in sli take up a lot less space..for that matter a voodoo 5 6000 would take up a lot less space and it had 4 much larger vsa chips on it. eek: |
