i'll match your pasta to my pasta and homemade sauce, drew.
i start off every week with five lbs of burger and various ingredients made into meatballs, drop about 30 of them into a pasta vat with fresh made sauce and simmer for about a day. end of the day, pour meatballs and sauce into container, seal and store in fridge until the weekend.

football season will put 40lbs on you each week at my house.

homemade pizza
homemade stromboli
meatball sammiches
baked zitti

you grow up around italian girls you learn to cook real fast ('specially if you're from an irish family) the secret to the italian daughters is not going through the father but through the mother. simply compliment her one day and ask if your mom could have the recipe for the sauce/gravy. you'll have a date that night.

I can cook almost anything, cuz i grew up watching my mom cook. I make my own dinner (actual dinner, none of that instant crap) when my parents are away.

I can hold my own in the kitchen. I've posted a few of my own recipes here before.

I like to dabble in a bunch of different styles:

- middle eastern/indian
- traditional peasant
- french
- italian
- mexican/tex-mex
- chinese/cantonese

The only thing I haven't really tried is baking/desserts. I leave that to the wife. biggrin:

I love pasta, pizza, spaghetti and stromboli but when it comes to making it, I'm terrible.

I can only make something that has directions on it. Not very good other wise.

Doctor Duffy 05-06-2005 10:53 PM

I help my parents cook dinner a lot, but never really do anything on my own...
