"Just a stupid computer idiot qustion. If I choose to do a Full Install instead of an upgrade, does it delete everything on the harddrive?"
If you do a Full Install (actually a CLEAN INSTALL), you would delete the hard drive partition, re-create it and format it, so yes it WILL DELETE anything currently on your hard drive, so if there's anything you want to keep (Internet Favorites, saved game files, data files, etc.), BE SURE TO BACK IT UP first. Be sure to use XP's quick format after you wipe your old partition and re-create it again, and use the NTFS file system. Good luck with the upgrade if you decide to go with XP. P.S. If you don't know the answer, then there's no such thing as a "stupid" computer question 8-) ------------------ "Stay low, keep moving, and never ever quit!" |
