Upgradings getting to be a real pain in the arse. Intel, amd, ati\nvidia can all suck my balls. Intel and amd for changing their fucking sockets so much, and ati and nvidia for more or less trying to kill off agp before its even near past its prime with pci express. Only good thing about pce-e is the sli\crossfire setups, but these motherboards seem to be getting made in lga775 socket 939 exclusivly at the minute. cuss: So to upgrade, new board, new cpu, then the upgrade i wanted of a new geaphics card. Fuckers. cuss: cuss: |

$600 card that beats $1000 in 6800Us... sounds good to me. Edit: Not to mension the drivers... Remember that a X800 Pro beat the 6800U with the original drivers. |
Well the drivers are entirely down to nvidia and their release schedule, and their fequency of releasing certified drivers pretty much blows compared to the drivers they like to release as "leaked beta's". If they release cack drivers and its shown in the reviews that kind of press can cause a lot of damage to a product through word of mouth alone on various forums. No real excuse for it though, if the performance is not upto par they should hold back till they have drivers that can cut the mustard.
The numbers ive seen for the 7800 are around 7900-8000 in 3dmark 2005, which obviously isn't faster than sli'd ultras. Guess we'll see tomorrow what the story is though. |
i reckon gerv, akuma, and i work on creating a new processor manufacturer and it s bester than all... we shall call it: Ground Force Processors... oOo:

Well I am majoring in electrical engineering.... |
Well, putting in the ram and card was easy, the PSU was hard. It seems that my case is too small, by a fucking inch, so I had to bend and twist the metal in the back so I could actually fit in the new psu. Now the only trouble is, is if I close the case completely, the wires touch the CPU fan, so I will have to twist the frame into perfection.
