Yeah, all these nifty martial arts rule... that's why none of them ever fucking dare enter the octogon anymore. Geez, I wonder why ? Maybe, just maybe, and hear me out... maybe it's because they're mostly for SHOW and the "beautiful" moves actually don't work ? Ask special forces about these so-called arts and see what THEY practice. There's a reason they concentrate on grappling and basic but lethal striking techniques: nothing else really works under pressure and there's no maximization of power or efficiency with all these purty spinning kicks and trapping moves. I really don't get the appeal these arts have... mwah:

Watch some old Ultimate Fighting Championships with Hoyce Gracie. He owned everyone with grappling. Pretty interesting to watch.

I took martial arts for quite a while, and not once were we ever taught the "spinng dragon round kick" or any kind of that steriotypical "martial arts" shit like that.

All those spinning moves and flying shit is what you see in asian kung fu movies, not what they actually teach.

90 % of "martial artists" do get their ass kicked becausev they never really learned shit while training. The ones that do know there stuff, aka brown belt + = will kick your ass.

They recently had a special on martial artists, they took some of the top martial artists in the world and tsted them, 1 guy could kick with 3200 pounds of pressure per sqaure inch.. the other guy could hit for 2800 pounds of pressure per sqaure inch. They hit the bag so hard the sensor snapped in 2. I know one thing after seeing that, taking a kick like that in any fight is a one shot wonder type hit on most people.

Bruce was fast and hard-bodied, but without proper ground fighting training, he wouldn't have stood a chance unless he could keep Royce at a distance.

Grapling > striking. I love watching a classic grapling UFC match that goes the distance, those 15 second knockouts in the first round suck.
