heres a little religious background, though not quoted, the bible says man should marry women. Though pretty simple and clear, however, in the actual context of it, it bring about the interpretation that you can marry whom ever you want as long as theyre human.

Now for my opinion. I agree, marry whom ever you like, love is love, noone can stop that, and now they have linked homosexuality to hormones and other biological means which is essentially linked to genetics. they have also done this for transvestites. on a legal stand point, i dont think they should get the same rights as a heterosexual married couple, only a few, especially those pretaining and concerned those with children if they were to adopt or to have a surreget mother/father

I don't see how you can interpret the bible saying for man to marry woman into thinking that it means marry a human... And that's not the only biblical reference to homosexuality...

also, I have yet to see any genetic evidence that shows homosexuality to be natural...think about it, the whole concept of evolution would suggest that humans become more and more adaptive to continue the race, homosexuality is counterproductive to procreation and therefore would not fit with the model of evolution at all, in fact by darwin's theory, homosexuality should have been weeded out years ago... just think about it

I am not against treating gays fairly, I just don't think that it is natural or biblically moral and that's why I'm against the whole concept of homosexuality being alright.

Short you seem to throw that word around anytime somebody disagrees with you on this subject. You also call people fags and homos when they disagree with you on other subjects. Please try to show some consistency in your posting.

I try to avoid using that word. Yes it has slipped in the past, but as of late as in the last year or so no chance. You can trace that back to about the time I had my liberal makeover and the big debate with tgb over Iraq. I admit myself it was a mistake using it, but unlike most people Ill face it and over come that hidden bit of homophobia I had in myself. That is the difference between me.. and all of you. Im glad for this, Canada is moving forwards not backwards. With the whole religious and biblical talk about how they should not be able to get married, all that crap goes out the windows since married couples get benefits and tax cuts. If every religion wants to have there own rules without the tax breaks and benefits from the government then ok, they shouldn’t be married. But since there are tax breaks and benefits then any couple should be allowed to be able to have those same benefits no matter whom you are.
