but when the power could be abused is kind of scary. I dont mind if shit out side my home is bugged or video'd but when its in your home thatswhat i dont like.
I would like every town to have most of its streets with video cameras watching plus pay phones monitored. I wish that could happen.

I disagree. Why the hell should someone watch me. An innocent person walking down the street? Potentially watching every step to see if i slipup (dropping a piece of litter, chewing gum etc). They would have the power to enforce all rules and slap fines on more innocent people. This is the extent to what this 'more power' could lead to. What the fuck has this world come to that the police feel the need to monitor everyone/everything. I sure as hell have nothing to hide, but its the fact that they losing our integrity, our freedom!

It has absolutely nothing to do with if I have nothing to hide or not. I'm a law abiding citizen. I'm not doing anything wrong, nor do I plan to.

It is the principal of the thing. Living in this country, I am guaranteed certain rights. As we move forward, these rights are slowly being eroded. These are fundamental liberties that everyone should be entitled to.

It doesn’t matter if the police will or will not monitor me just for the sake of it. It is the idea that they can if they truly wanted to.

I have nothing to hide, but i'm sure as hell not going to give up my rights as a citizen of a free country just because of that.
