yeah i dunno about it either ... reminds me of the goddamn old school 80s console ... cant think of the name, where you just had a pad like thing ... i think it would suck.

Well.. it is different. Instead of just bumping polygon count like xbox 360 and ps3 theyre going in a new direction with how you interact with the games. Could end up being pretty good i suppose.

I dunno. I think it'll be cool to "slash" the sword with the controller, but after 2 mins it'll get old and tiring. I don't want to be doing all of these fancy moves at 2am while I'm playing with my eyes half open.

I thought the pad was gonna be a lcd type thing where you could program the buttons where you would like...kinda like those touch screen universal remotes.

geRV 09-15-2005 11:05 PM

Only real problem i can see with the controller is it could limit the games that are possible to be made for the console. Then again im sure theve thought of that already. Would be good for fps games like most sites are saying, but how would football games and sports game be on it. eek:

If they are going to make the Joystick seperate from the Buttons and such they should make the chord between them longer so you can spread out more.

Intellivisions controller was the same thing and it owned. Also, people said the same shit about the XBox controller and its still around.

This thing will be akward and uncomforatble to use. Nintendo fails. They should use the NINTENDO ON!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are some of the most sexy hands i've ever seen...

Looks like something Apple would dream up. oOo: Looks strange, but I'll wait until I have held it in my urine-soaked hands before passing judgement.

Bingo.

Just because it's weird lookin' doesn't mean it's not functional. It might be the best controller evar.

Then again, my Spidey senses are telling me I'd rather an Atari joystick.

Nintendo have made a very odd move, moving away from the competition to create a new revolution of console gaming. I actually think it will draw ALOT of interest. They have done something different compared to having/ using a conventional controller. I'd imagine the pure interest of how this controller will work will force alot of gamers to buy the console. If correctly done I think it could be very successful upon its release.

My only fault so far is: It doesnt look very comfortable which for me at this stage is its only draw back. I'd have thought they'd have created something that you could actually wrap your hands around, maybe a handgunish shape. I'd imagine customers could have a sore hand after playing with it for 1hr+.

Even with this said, there is still a year + before the console is released anywhere, I'd imagine this device is still in its very early stages. Design can be changed later on.

The revolution also supports the gamecube controllers, and theres meant to be some kind of shell device you can put the new controller into so it can be used like a regular controller.
