Vehicles, Flak-guns, tanks?
Guys, this isn't Operation Flashpoint WWII. And the size's of the maps could not sustain anything like that. People complain about Bazooka's and Sniper's as it is. Think about what would happen if "Id!dj00m0m" was suddenly at the controles of a Panzer mark V "tiger". |
You do realize that it would take about three guys to lug the damn thing around dont you?

Yeah it would be sweet if we could have tank battles, drive halftracks and use 20mm cannons. EA should concentrate on these in their next mission pack for MOH

for MOH:Team Assault (the expansion pack for moh:aa), EA's head guy in charge of the MOH series, said that they might incorporate vehicles for online play for TA. moh would own if they do infact bring vehicles into mp. |
20mm would not have been a anti tank weapon at this stage of the war, and could only have been used against british A-13's and APC's with any results. Might have been a left over from the earlier years of the war but the only thing it would have been good for is anti infantry. Pak's are AT or anti tank weapons, then you have Flak's like the Flak 88 or 30. The Flak 88 which you blow up in this game was designed for anti aircraft, then the germs found out it was a real tank buster with AP (Armor Piercing) rounds. Most german tanks and the Flak 88 had whats called APHE rounds, which means they had Armor Piercing and High Explosive. So the round pierced the outer armor and the high explosive whent off inside the tank.

Vehicles will probably be in the next MOH: Team Assault. I hear they will use a different engine for that expansion. So we can expect large MP Maps with tank support - RealWarfare lik it was meant to be!

almost everything that you guys want in this thread is already in wwiiol.
www.wwiionline.com and it was a 20mm flak which is in wwiiol. good for low flying aircraft or inf. |
that weapon is cool and all but it looks like it would create a lot of lag on the mp games.

the 20mm auto cannon was a great anti tank gun. not usually used as an antipersonnel gun. those bastards manning the cannon probably didnt know it was against the geneeva convention! I grew real happy when reiben shot those nazi fucks to death with his B.A.R http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

Gday guys
not sure how old this topic is but id like to add my 2 cents worth, i think the nazi weapon used in SPR was called the 20mm Flakvierling 38 , it was a 4 barreled anti aircraft/anti infantry killer, and a bit of history for ya guys ,it entered service in 1940 in the German navy , it was found to be much better in the anti infantry role and was mounted on a standard Sd.Kfz7 halftrack. Rate of fire 800 RPM practical Rate of fire 1400 RPM cyclic PHEW!!! thats one mean weapon !!!! |
