even when im serving i sometimes get this. it usually happens when certain ppl join the game.

This has also happened to me. I, personaly, think it is a lag issue.

I haven't used zonealarm in awhile, but if I remember you need to go into the programs part of zonealarm and tell it that mohaa.exe is ok to access the internet.

I wouldn't worry about this being a virus. At worst, it's some loser who made a goofy mod and thinks it's funny. Like I saw, I really think it's just a lag issue. Just try another game.

To cancel this bug press tab.

Or whatever key you have bound to the scoreboard.

There.

I'm posting a topic on this so it gets noticed.

How does that fix it? I've done that to see if someone is majorly laggin the server, but it usually shows us all at high pings. It certainly didn't fix the problem.

I'd suggest you try it before you say that. This post is talking about a bug that changes/fires your weapons, not about lag.

You describe a server lag spike, not this bug.

I know what I am talking about.

Want to know why it isn't lag? There's no lag clock symbol at the bottom of the screen when it happens and server pings are generally normal.

You don't have to try it... I am just trying to help.

I have had that happen to me before and it is a tragic turn of events when your on a stealth mission and the gun gives away your position. I hate that.

I'm not sure why Zonealarm wont let you play, but I have the Norton Personal Firewall and that works just fine. I have also noticed after playing MOH online for a couple of hours when I log off and check my firewall log it has blocked several trojans and other various things.

I also have Norton Utilities,Do you leave that open while playing the game?

V1.1 doesn't fix it at all.

Bazooka_Joe 02-27-2002 10:26 AM

Alot of people think that it's a hack that people use. Makes everyones weapon fire & change @ random. I really dun't think so though.

I think it had something to do with the 1.0 version of the game. Ever since I had 1.1, no problems. It generally happened in 1.0 when alot of lag was present. Not enough to no play the game, but when there was lag often.

So, if you havent already, upgrade to 1.1. I'm pretty sure it will resolve the problem.
