If you get a problem saying "Failed to start because d3dx9_29.dll was not found" then go to this site

http://www.shdon.com/view?doc=d3dx

download the 2nd one down the list, the '29 one and it'll fix the problem.

I had the same prob and this fixed it instantly, small, quick, official and no reboot required freak:
