Why doesn't the US do something? They seem eager to hype up Iran, yet Iran is said to be 10 years away from completing their program if they wanted to. now NK comes out and says it has one...well, it's it a bit of hypocracy to be going after Iran saying "you better not be making nukes or else" all the while NK is doing the exact same thing, and is probably a more serious cause because of the time frame?

the UN is supposed to handle crap like this. The US is sick and tired of being the worlds policemen. If the UN does nothing I hope we kick thier asses out of the US and withdraw from the UN, it is a useless peice of crap

I agree the UN is worthless. I would love to see Canada withdraw from it, but that would never happen, same for the US.

The point i'm making is that the US is picking which fights it wants to fight. It doesn't want to fight NK all the while it seems more than willing to challenge Iran on the issue, while NK would seem to be the more pressing issue.

If the US invaded Iraq to stop them from getting Nuclear weapons, and is threatening Iran to stop them from getting nuclear weapons, why aren't they threatening NK in the same way?

Before Iraq started, I said along with a ton of other people that NK and China seemed like a far bigger threat than Iraq. I believe that NK/China is still a far bigger threat than Iran is, howeevr their being handled in totally opposite ways.

The Us is the only country that can do something. Even if a colition like NATO minus the US came into play, there is no way that it would be taken seriously without the help of the US.

They still got a few detonations to go to catch up to the states

Because NK doesnt have an entire region behind it ideologically and logistically. That's why. NK would have to contend with SK, CHINA, TAIWAN, etc. up their asses.

Nor does NK have fanatical elements that are able to move freely across its neighbors borders with this technology.

Foreign Policy isnt about satisfying millions of college kids in Poli-Sci classes, and trying to appear impartial. NK having a nuke is a problem because it potentially destabalizes the global stage, not because were worried about NK launching a nuke at anyone (its not going to happen).
