Piggy-Back question. . .to utilize the HD output of the XBOX - what do I need to look for on an HDTV if I decide to go that route (some real good deals on HDTV locally).[/b][/color][/quote:9bbc0]

Pretty much any tv that supports 720p 1080-i or 1080p. Look for a hdtv that has a pc vga connector on it and buy the vga cable for the 360 (official one not that third party shit), then dvd's will be upscaled through the vga connection. 360 also supports 1080p but no games use it yet, then again you can buy the hd drive addon and view movies in full hd which look amazing.

1080p tv's are pricier though, i think the majority on the market support at least 1080i through hdmi and 720p through vga. we've a 40" samsung which does 1080-i and the picture quality is amazing. Pretty much any hd tv will give a great picture quality, 1080p is only really neccessary if you want full hd-dvd movie impact.

DLp tv = digital light processing. basically a projector screen tv, dunno how good they are compared to lcd and plasma. I know the viewing angle on them is pretty narrow though. Stick with lcd imo.

Something like this

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNS4051D- ... uctDetails

The 360 supports these resolutions:

640 x 480
848 x 480
1024 x 768
1280 x 720 (equivalent to 720p)
1280 x 768
1280 x 1024
1360 x 768
1920x1080 <--- the daddy

That tv supports upto 1360x768, a better buy id say.

I got resistence for my ps3 a while back, played upto the mission where you get caught by the aliens and havn't touched it since. mad: Still pissed those sony cocksuckers have that hdcp shit so i can't directly use my monitor. Have to use a converter which really dulls the colour down. oOo:

I think the drool bucket attached to his chin mighta been a good indicator of his intelligence as well. biggrin:

I really dunno how half the fuckers in these electronics stores get their jobs. They must go through some kinda test where they have a tv a fridge and a microwave in a line and they have to put the proper name tags on them. Only need 1 correct one to get a job though. oOo:

Thats a nice tv - but way the fuck out of my budget range. The reason Im interested in the SAMSUNG is because its the tv I first saw the 360 on, and it looked great. And for less than a G. Theres no way I can justify dropping 2 to 3G's on an HDTV.

So far from all the games ive played on xbox 360 (christians bro is loaded with money and has like 20+ games) is Rainbow 6 vegas.
