Well...thats really all they do bring in with the exception of the wii. Its pretty much always been the case of more powerful systems when new ones come out. This generation for ps3 and 360 is all about HD which = better graphics. And people are buying them so moot argument.[/quote:bac79]
what about the Saturn and 3DO? those were better, albeit shittier, systems for their time and just disappeared when no good games came out for it. While I doubt it will happen this time around, seeing as there are no alternative, dominant systems, the quality of good games is drastically decreasing as a whole in the industry.[/quote:bac79]
The saturn was just another one of sega's fuckups, it was designed as a 2d sprite scaling system then they tossed in a 3d acceleration chip at the last minute when they realised the playstation was based around 3d. It made the console a lot harder to program for so developers just jumped aboard the sony bandwagon. As for 3do, that never really had a chance, there was already a full marketplace with sega, sony nintendo and atari. |
