Yeah, I agree with Pyro here; I'd hardly blame Toronto's downfall on "choking". Choking would imply that they had some measure of success and lofty expectations to fall from.

No one expected them to do shit...and that's exaclty what they did. Shit.

Haha Kevin Lowe is the asshat of the NHL. I'm sure Buffalo saw it coming but can you say desperate? Edmonton is in a world of hurt now, as I'm sure a lot of GM's will be pissed at what he did. It was a big gamble but Buffalo had more than enough cap space to match the offer.

It's going to be one hell of a long year for Oiler fans this year.

i'm sorry but Kevin Lowe has to be the worst GM in the league.

He trades away the heart and soul of the team in Ryan Smith over a measly few hundred thousand dollars, then throws over 7 mill a year for Vanek AND 4 first round draft picks. In addition the sabres said don't do it to lowe last night because we will match any offer.
